Dirk Stürmer, Managing Director of TechnologieZentrumDortmund (TZDO), was unanimously appointed as a new member of the Administrative Board of Studierendenwerk Dortmund by the other members of the Administrative Board on 1 April 2025.

The Administrative Board is responsible for the fundamental decisions in the Studierendenwerk. Its tasks and composition are regulated by the NRW Student Union Act.

Studierendenwerk Dortmund is a service provider for almost 125,000 students at seven universities in the areas of university catering, student accommodation, student finance/student grants and social services. It is also a major employer and training organisation in Dortmund.
