Potential founders from the life sciences came to the Biomedicine Centre Dortmund (BMZ) to find out about financing, venture capital and funding. The successful workshop "Ohne Moos nix los!" was organised by BioIndustry e.V. and BioRiver e.V.. Experts from industry, consulting and the world of finance presented various options for planning a start-up idea as part of the workshop.

Formulating and structuring start-up ideas
Dr Oliver Bonkamp from BioIndustry e.V. kicked things off at the BMZ with a talk on "Formulating and structuring start-up ideas - fit for the first stage!". Tobias Wingbermühle from Green Digital Consulting then gave a presentation on "Reducing the initial investment - don't buy specialised equipment, borrow it!". Dr Stephan Binder from Laborkampagne then gave a talk on "Planning purchasing in the current business - purchasing consumables can also be cheap!".
Acquiring funding and venture capital
After a coffee break, André Küsters from Zenit GmbH continued the programme and addressed the topic of "Where do I get the capital for the first steps - acquiring funding and venture capital!" Dr Oliver Bonkamp from BioIndustry e.V. rounded off the event with his presentation "The market is the best mirror for your idea - using industry contacts correctly and at an early stage!".
During the workshop, experts from industry, consulting and the world of finance presented various options for planning a start-up idea. They were also available to the participants as advisors to help them define the optimal path tailored to their needs.
