The following cities from the iCapital Alliance were represented as winners and finalists of the iCapital Award: Amsterdam / Netherlands, Cluj-Napoca / Romania, Helsingborg / Sweden, Leuven / Belgium, Linköping / Sweden, Lisbon / Portugal, Lviv / Ukraine, Malaga / Spain, Vantaa / Finland and Warsaw / Poland.
The international start-ups taking part were: Alva Systems, Boves / France, Beehold, Nis / Serbia, Elasto, Cluj-Napoca / Romania, UniQ Soft Technology, Nyon / Switzerland and Viimatech Digital, Espoo / Finland.
Dortmund's French twin city Amiens travelled to the event with a three-person delegation. Two representatives from Business France were also present in Dortmund.
As part of the programme, which was organised by the University and Science Office of the City of Dortmund and the Dortmund Economic Development Agency, Arne Elias, Innovation Team Leader at the Dortmund Economic Development Agency, gave an overview of how innovations can be promoted.
