roTeg AG: A success story in robot technology

As part of our series on 40 years of the TechnologieZentrumDortmund, today we would like to take a look at the impressive development of the centre. roTeg AG throw.

What began in 1993 as a small engineering consultancy in the TechnologyCentreDortmund (TZDO) has since developed into a globally recognised specialist for Robot technology developed.

• 1996 roTeg built and installed the first pilot unit of the palletising robot (PARO) at the TZDO.
• 2004 the company moved to a production hall in the TZDO due to growing demand and only 4 years later the company delivered its 100th robot system.
• 2012 roTeg moved into new, modern premises on Brennaborstrasse in the Dortmund Technology Park and built a 1,000 m² production and office space there.
• 2022 the 400th robot was sold - another milestone in a success story based not only on innovation but also on constant growth.

Today, roTeg employs 60 highly qualified staff and is an internationally active specialist in palletising technology. Another outstanding example of how the Technology centre acts as a seedbed for innovation and company growth!
